11/25/24: Waffles began showing signs of heat.
11/29/24: Waffles began progesterone testing to help correctly time her upcoming pairing to Duke. Result came back as 1.9, baseline.
12/3/24: Waffles returned for another progesterone test. 1.9 again, baseline.
12/6/24: Waffles returned for another progesterone test, 2.7.
12/7/24: Waffles returned for another progesterone test, 3.5.
12/9/24: Waffles returned for another progesterone test, 5.3.
12/10/24: Waffles returned for another progesterone test, 11.1. She ovulated on 12/9, ready to inseminate!
12/11/24: Waffles was artificially inseminated by Dr. Jeffrey Cacia at Hilton Veterinary Hospital. Duke was present to provide a fresh collection containing over 1.8 billion cells at 92% motility. We will ultrasound in approximately thirty days (1/7/25) to confirm. If successful, our first official litter of the new year should be expected to arrive on or around February 10th 2025!
Those of you who have been interested in a Waffles pup are urged to submit applications and secure a spot on our waiting list NOW for first crack at claiming these pups once they arrive! This is Waffle's final litter before retirement!
